Friday, May 30, Boothbay Region High School (BRHS) Class of 2025 gathered for one of the last times before graduation to celebrate Fishermen's Festival Field Day, concluding Days of May festivities. Students began the morning with Grand March practice led by Guidance Counselor Leanne Burnham and Dean of Students Allan Crocker before kicking off field day with fun and games in the gymnasium.
Seniors raced to grab blue and gold tutus before pairing up to play Last Word, a timed turn-taking game with a photo diary of losers. Emcee Coach Dennis Dacus then led the seniors through his classic and favorite, the Rock, Paper, Scissors Championship pyramid-style tournament, which has students advance or recede based on winning or losing two-person matchups of the well-known hand game. Like a boss, Hannah Hills dominated the competition with 11 points. Clayton Splaine was second with nine.
