Robotics team earns trip to state championship

On Feb. 14, members of the Boothbay Region High School robotics team traveled to Bangor to compete with 31 teams from 12 schools for the final qualifying tournament in the 25-26 Vex Robotics Competition Push Back Season. Three of our four teams were able to attend, and all had their best showing of the season.

The Nautilus (Zuri Smith, Elijah Smith, Moriah Smith, Sam Ware and Maggie Curtis) finished the qualifiers ranked in 5th before being knocked out in the semifinal match. They were able to earn 2nd place with their skills scores in the event, and secured the 13th rank in the state among the 68 ranked teams in the state.
